what we believE

The Bible

We believe the Bible is the divinely inspired, inerrant, and authoritative written Word of God.

God

We believe in one God who exists eternally in three persons: God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit.

JESUS CHRIST

We believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God, both fully God and fully man forever, and the one mediator through whose death, burial, and resurrection God chose to redeem a people for Himself, to the praise of His glory. We believe that Jesus is returning to the world in the future to judge the living and the dead.

Humanity

We believe that God created humans, male and female, in His own image and for His own glory. While all people have dignity and worth as God’s image-bearers, Adam’s sinful disobedience has made us “by nature children of wrath,” unable to stand justified, according to our own efforts, in the presence of a holy and righteous God.

SALVATION

We believe that salvation unto eternal joy with God begins with the regenerating work of the Holy Spirit, according to God’s purpose of election, and is received by grace alone, through faith alone, in Christ alone.

THE HOLY SPIRIT

We believe that the Holy Spirit is the third distinct person of the Trinity and yet fully God. The Holy Spirit gives believers new life at conversion, sanctifies them in their Christian walk, and empowers them for gospel-oriented service.

THE CHURCH

We believe the church is Christ’s body, called to glorify God and to make disciples through worship, prayer, teaching, fellowship, and the proclamation of the gospel throughout the community. We further believe that there are two ordinances of the church: imitating and celebrating Jesus’ death, burial, and resurrection through believer’s baptism and the Lord’s Supper.
